All 20 Teams Finalize Lineups Ahead of February 7 Tournament Kickoff

Dubai: Teams have announced their squads for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament begins February 7 in India and Sri Lanka. Twenty nations will compete using the same format that proved successful in 2024.

The January 30 deadline approaches. Most teams have already revealed their 15-player squads. India announced first on December 20, 2025. Pakistan, West Indies, and Scotland followed recently.

Tournament Format

Twenty teams split into four groups of five. The top two from each group advance to Super Eights. Pre-determined seedings will organize the knockout stage.

Group A Teams

India

Suryakumar Yadav captains the defending champions. The squad includes Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube. Ishan Kishan provides wicketkeeping backup.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya returns. The pace attack features Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Harshit Rana. Spin department includes Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar. Rinku Singh completes the 15-member squad.

Pakistan

Salman Ali Agha leads the side. The squad features returning star Babar Azam. Other batsmen include Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, and Saim Ayub.

Wicketkeepers are Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Mohammad Salman Mirza, and Usman Khan. All-rounders include Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, and Shadab Khan.

The pace attack has Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Spin options are Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq.

USA

The American squad remains unannounced. Team officials have not released player names yet.

Namibia

Gerhard Erasmus captains the African side. Zane Green keeps wickets. Bernard Scholtz and Ruben Trumpelmann lead the bowling.

The squad includes JJ Smit, Jan Frylinck, Louren Steenkamp, and Malan Kruger. Other players are Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Jack Brassell, Ben Shikongo, and JC Balt.

Dylan Leicher, WP Myburgh, and Max Heingo complete the lineup. Alexander Volschenk serves as reserve.

Netherlands

Scott Edwards captains the Dutch team. Colin Ackermann and Noah Croes join him. Bas de Leede provides all-round skills.

Spin department features Aryan Dutt and Roelof van der Merwe. Pace bowlers include Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, and Paul van Meekeren.

Other squad members are Michael Levitt, Zach Lion-Cachet, Max O’Dowd, Logan van Beek, Timm van der Gugten, and Saqib Zulfiqar.

Group B Squads

Australia

Mitchell Marsh leads the provisional squad. Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, and Pat Cummins feature prominently. Tim David and Cameron Green provide power hitting.

Fast bowlers include Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins. Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and Matthew Short handle batting duties.

Matthew Kuhnemann, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa complete the 15 players.

Sri Lanka

Dasun Shanaka captains the co-hosts. The preliminary 25-player squad needs trimming to 15. Batsmen include Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamil Mishara, and Kusal Perera.

Middle order features Dhananjaya de Silva, Niroshan Dickwella, Janith Liyanage, Charith Asalanka, and Kamindu Mendis. All-rounders are Pavan Rathnayake, Sahan Arachchige, and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Spinners include Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushan Hemantha, and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth. Fast bowlers are Milan Rathnayake, Nuwan Thushara, Eshan Malinga, Dushmantha Chameera, Pramod Madushan, Matheesha Pathirana, Dilshan Madushanka, and Traveen Mathew.

Zimbabwe

Sikandar Raza captains Zimbabwe. Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, and Graeme Cremer provide experience. Bradley Evans and Clive Madande join them.

The squad includes Tinotenda Maposa, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, and Tony Munyonga. Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, and Brendan Taylor complete the lineup.

Ireland

Paul Stirling leads Ireland. Mark Adair and Ross Adair join the squad. Ben Calitz, Curtis Campher, and Gareth Delany provide all-round options.

George Dockrell and Matthew Humphreys bowl spin. Josh Little and Barry McCarthy handle pace. Harry Tector, Tim Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White, and Craig Young round out the team.

Oman

Jatinder Singh captains Oman. Vinayak Shukla, Mohammad Nadeem, and Shakeel Ahmad feature. Hammad Mirza and Wasim Ali join them.

Other players include Karan Sonavale, Shah Faisal, Nadeem Khan, and Sufyan Mehmood. Jay Odedra, Shafiq Jan, Ashish Odedara, Jiten Ramanandi, and Hasnain Ali Shah complete the squad.

Group C Lineups

England

Harry Brook captains the provisional squad. Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, and Tom Banton feature. Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, and Liam Dawson join them.

Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, and Jamie Overton provide batting depth. Adil Rashid handles spin. Phil Salt, Josh Tongue, and Luke Wood complete the 15 players.

West Indies

Shai Hope leads as captain. Shimron Hetmyer and Johnson Charles provide explosive batting. Roston Chase adds experience.

Matthew Forde, Jason Holder, and Akeal Hosein bowl. Shamar Joseph offers pace. Brandon King, Gudakesh Motie, and Rovman Powell feature prominently.

Sherfane Rutherford, Quentin Sampson, Jayden Seales, and Romario Shepherd complete the squad.

Italy

Wayne Madsen captains Italy’s historic debut. Marcus Campopiano and Gian Piero Meade join him. Zain Ali, Ali Hasan, and Crishan Jorge feature.

Harry Manenti, Anthony Mosca, and Justin Mosca provide options. Syed Naqvi, Benjamin Manenti, and Jaspreet Singh bowl. JJ Smuts, Grant Stewart, and Thomas Draca complete the team.

Nepal

Rohit Paudel leads Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane provide star power. Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh keep wickets.

Sundeep Jora and Aarif Sheikh join the squad. Basir Ahamad, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, and Nandan Yadav bowl. Gulshan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi, Sher Malla, and Lokesh Bam round out the lineup.

Scotland

Richie Berrington captains Scotland. Tom Bruce and Matthew Cross join him. Bradley Currie, Oliver Davidson, and Chris Greaves feature.

Zainullah Ihsan, Michael Jones, and Michael Leask provide all-round skills. Finlay McCreath and Brandon McMullen join them. George Munsey, Safyaan Sharif, Mark Watt, and Bradley Wheal complete the 15.

Traveling reserves are Jasper Davidson and Jack Jarvis. Non-traveling reserves include Mackenzie Jones, Chris McBride, and Charlie Tear.

Group D Teams

South Africa

Aiden Markram captains the Proteas. Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, and Quinton de Kock feature. Marco Jansen and George Linde provide all-round options.

Keshav Maharaj and Kwena Maphaka bowl spin and pace. David Miller brings experience. Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, and Kagiso Rabada lead the pace attack.

Ryan Rickelton, Jason Smith, and Tristan Stubbs complete the squad.

New Zealand

Mitchell Santner leads the Black Caps. Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, and Mark Chapman join him. Devon Conway and Jacob Duffy feature.

Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Kyle Jamieson handle pace. Daryl Mitchell and James Neesham provide all-round skills. Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, and Ish Sodhi complete the 15.

Afghanistan

Rashid Khan captains Afghanistan. Noor Ahmad, Abdullah Ahmadzai, and Sediqullah Atal join the squad. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz feature prominently.

Naveen Ul Haq, Mohammad Ishaq, and Shahidullah Kamal bowl. Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib provide experience. Azmatullah Omarzai, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Darwish Rasooli, and Ibrahim Zadran complete the 15.

Reserves include AM Ghazanfar, Ijaz Ahmadzai, and Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi.

Canada

Dilpreet Bajwa captains Canada. Ajayveer Hundal, Ansh Patel, and Dilon Heyliger join him. Harsh Thaker and Jaskarandeep Buttar feature.

Kaleem Sana, Kanwarpal Tathgur, and Navneet Dhaliwal bowl. Nicholas Kirton, Ravinderpal Singh, and Saad Bin Zafar join them. Shivam Sharma, Shreyas Movva, and Yuvraj Samra complete the squad.

UAE

The UAE squad awaits announcement. Officials have not released player names yet.

Tournament Schedule

The competition begins February 7. Group stages run through multiple weeks. Super Eight matches follow group completion. Semifinals determine finalists. The championship match crowns the winner.

India and Sri Lanka share hosting responsibilities. Multiple venues across both nations host matches. The tournament concludes in late February or early March.

Squad Composition Rules

Teams select maximum 15 players. Changes require ICC approval. Injury replacements follow specific protocols. Squads must balance batting, bowling, and wicketkeeping.
